Zero Emission Vehicle Consulting

Route Modeling, Rate Modeling, and KPI Reporting

As zero-emission transportation technologies have moved towards commercialization, TruePani team members support projects to prepare fleet operators.  TruePani conducts route modeling for electric buses (ZEB) by collecting GPS data for existing blocks.  This data, along with a model of the ZEB developed with inputs from the OEM, is used to determine a range of efficiency values.  These outputs are used to develop recommendations for deployment.

Following route modeling, rate modeling is completed to understand the energy consumption and demand charges incurred by ZEB fleet operations.  TruePani can provide recommendations to optimize charging schedules and reduce monthly energy bills, providing thousands in annual electricity savings and often a cost per mile significantly lower than diesel buses.

Once electric vehicles have been deployed, TruePani works with transit agencies to establish and track key performance indicators using data reported by operators and through platforms such as ViriCiti. TruePani has previously worked with the Center for Transportation and the Environment, Columbia Transit, Greater Bridgeport Transit, Napa Valley Transit Authority, and Port Arthur Transit.
