Lead and Copper Rule Improvements
Our team is assisting water systems nationwide with identifying “unknowns” and replacing lead service lines.
Achieving LCRI Compliance
As water systems complete service line inventories and replace lead lines, our team of experienced professionals can assist with many aspects of the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements.
Many tools exist to expedite service line inventory development. Our engineers work to understand a water system’s unique attributes, existing data sources, and state guidance to select the best method. Additionally, we provide human capital to get the job done and create standard operating procedures so work can extend beyond our contract period. Final deliverables are designed to seamlessly integrate with existing asset management and other systems.
Our engineers are offering no cost consultation to small water systems facing LCRI challenges. A meeting can be scheduled here.

Whether your system has detailed records or is starting from scratch, TruePani will compile and organize all existing data, and implement creative strategies to fill the gaps. Inventory data is stored in a database with easy exports customized to submittal requirements of your primacy agency. Inventory data can also be made available through embedded maps such as GIS or views of the database.

TruePani’s engineers follow the stepwise approach to aid in the identification of unknown service line materials. Data collected, validated, and verified, serves as the basis of a predictive model specific to the area. TruePani also maintains relationships with firms that offer best-in-class machine learning for cases where this is applicable.
-
One of the advantages of storing inventory records in a database is the ability to import different data types. Our team can convert existing tap/service valve cards to OCR text, and document multiple data sources and resulting assumptions of service line materials.
-
TruePani’s cloud-based data management system automates email communications, set phone call reminders, and generate customized letters to be mailed. The TruePani team can mail letters and document all correspondence to ensure compliance with time-bound public notification requirements.

A top concern from water systems working to meet LCRR compliance is completing school and child care sampling. TruePani’s extensive experience in designing and executing school and child care sampling programs across the country makes us the perfect partner. We will create a list of all schools and child cares in the area you serve, work with facility administrators to schedule sampling events, and either send kits with detailed instructions and materials or complete sampling in-person. Results will be reported to the facility along with a template communication materials for parents and guardian. We create remediation recommendations as needed and provide a helpline to answer any questions.

Seeking funding from state and federal governments is key to improving water infrastructure in states, tribes, territories, and water systems of all sizes. As these grants and loans can be competitive or minimum allocation programs, we provide our clients with assistance to identify, strategize, and write competitive applications. Under recent guidance from the US Department of Treasury and newly appropriated funding, we prepare our clients for state and federal financing opportunities such as through Drinking Water State Revolving Funds and the EPA’s WIIN Grant.
